Lesson: Applied Arpeggios Continued
In the last lick, the arpeggio sweep was used to embellish the target note G on the 15th fret.
The next lick, in the key of A, uses the major form:

Notice how chord tones are emphasized in the licks above. By outlining the chords, you are implying the underlying harmony.
A great benefit to learning arpeggios is that by adding just a few more notes, you will have entire scales- and understand where the chordal tones in them are positioned. If you know where the first, third and fifth tones are, you can easily find a flat five, or a nine, or whatever.
