"Speed and Thrash Metal Drum Method" by Troy Stetina and Charlie Busher: This is the book that got me going. It starts at the very beginning and gets quite advanced. I'll be working out of this for a long time!

"Stick Control" by George Stone: Love discipline and tedium? This book will keep you practicing for a lifetime.

"The Drumset Musician" by Rod Morgenstein and Rick Mattingly: Very concise and informative. Packed with examples and play-along songs.
