Lesson: Aggressive Riffs
Here are two riffs that are not hard to play but sound very aggressive. I like to jam on these after drinking a latte grande!
The first uses an E pedal on the bottom and outlines the E blues scale (which here sounds more metal than blues!) using power chords. Note the quarter note triplets in the next to last bar.

The second riff is taken from the E phrygian dominant scale, emphasizing the flatted second degree and natural third.
